Calcium scoring is a screening tool that is mostly used for risk stratification. A 55th percentile score puts you in the middle of your age group for risk and therefore 'average' risk. The bands in the score chart are quite broad and is much closer to 10 than to 100! No amount of calcium in the coronaries is normal, and a score of 11 implies at least a little plaque formation. That score is not suggestive of severe plaque or stenosis, but of course calcium scoring does not directly measure plaque or give any information about the degree of blockage (if any). In the absence of any symptoms and with a negative treadmill, a calcium score of should prompt you to work on any reversible risk factors such as tobacco use, cholesterol levels and encourage exercise and healthy diet. Depending on your LDL levels and perhaps on other markers, statins might be considered.  Hope this is helpful.
